Durham Gala

Durham Gala 2024 was memorable because of the rain. It didn’t live up to the reputation of ‘The sun always shines on the Durham Miners’. We will also remember it because of the journey there. A piece of metal flew from a lorry going over a bridge just as our coach was driving under it. The metal smashed through the windscreen, making us late to start our march. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
